Edward Bonner

ed-2.jpgEdward V. Bonner was born in Baltimore, Maryland.  He later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the early 1960’s.  Raised by his mother and grandparents, he lived a daring and imaginable life.  Always getting into mischief and crazy activities, his mother would save the day.  In 1972, his mother remarried and the family moved to a suburb in the south hills of Pittsburgh.   He studied business and aeronautics, with an AS degree and AST degree licensed aircraft technician.  Now 30 years employed with American Airlines.   He married his wife, Anna Marie, a teacher in 1986. They raised two children, Brooke, a police officer, and Patrick, a probation officer, who both are grown and married. He now enjoys spending time with his grandson, Briar.

His first poem written in 7th grade capsized the teacher.   Later in life, he was published in several magazines and a book by North American Hunting Club.  His first volume of poetry, One Kiss (Ingram, 2015) suggests some ways in which the poems balance the universe.

He is very dedicated and hardworking individual in many directions of his life.  He is a person who is very goal oriented.  A 5th degree black belt in Shotokan karate and a teacher for over 30 years: coached children sports and held fund raisers for St. Jude Children’s hospital.
