What if Halloween happened every day? In Sam Specter and the Book of Spells, every day is Trick or Treat! Sam lives in Netherworld City, an amazing, haunted, supernatural metropolis filled with ghosts, skeletons and zombies! He is a ghost, fourth grade’s amateur sleuth, but he has to do his homework like everyone else. Sam thinks he’s a detective like his Chief of Police mother and solves cases like who stole the Sour Milk Money in his crypt classroom and at his haunted house neighborhood, but when a real threat to the entire spooky city emerges, Sam is on his own because, as all children know, which parent out there ever believes a kid?
Giant monsters! Skeleton Phone Booths! Candles that dance by themselves! Buildings made entirely out of bones! Zombie policemen! Vampires that drink coffee and read out-of-town-newspapers! Booger donuts! If you love to laugh at Halloween, Sam Specter and the Book of Spells has it all for you.
