Born in a former century Ronald Joseph Scala grew up in western Pennsylvania on “Poe” Drive, hence a lifelong interest in horror fiction.
While in college a pivotal event transformed him from an avid reader to an aspiring writer. Anyway, the strange events that occurred on that day in 1975 inspired Ron to eventually write his first horror novel. Ron has also written numerous short horror tales, many compiled in a short story collection published by eTreasures Publishing.
Ron makes ends meet with a day job as a Medical Physicist. He practices in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania where he lives with his family.
